Created for the Battle for Zendikar block of Magic: The Gathering. I was asked to create a unique eldrazi spawn that would have the same coloring and general makeup as the other spawn but stand out for some reason. The answer came in the form of coral pattern in the exoskeleton, that patterning is created in the devastated wake of the eldrazi but I decided to incorporate it into it's armor. The image is for a full art card, thus a vertical layout, though the bottom half is covered with the card text which is why it's fairly monochrome and contains no critical elements.
